Prioritize Safety

Always demonstrate a strong spirit, but never engage in actions that could compromise the safety or well-being of others.

Punctuality Matters

Arrive on time, giving yourself ample time to stretch and warm up before the class begins.

Respect the Dojo

Show your respect by bowing when you enter and exit the dojo.

Prompt Alignment

At the scheduled class start, line up swiftly and silently in rank order.

Follow Instructions Promptly

Respond to directions promptly and respectfully. Avoid arguing or complaining during training.

Maintain Focus

Refrain from chewing gum, talking, laughing, or distractions during class.

Request Permission to Leave

You may leave class only with the instructor's approval. If you need to leave early, request permission before class begins.

Maintain a Proper Uniform

Always wear a clean, well-maintained white karate gi, ensuring it is in good condition for training.

Maintain Personal Safety

Keep fingernails and toenails trimmed, and avoid wearing watches or jewelry during training.

Demonstrate Positive Attitude

Always show enthusiasm, respect, and good sportsmanship towards others.

Posture Matters

Avoid crossing your arms or placing hands on your hips, as these gestures are considered disrespectful and closed-off.

Address with Respect

In class, always address your dojo instructor as Sensei (a Japanese term for teacher) and black belt students as Senpai  (refers to an upperclassman or mentor figure)

Lead by Example

Senior students are responsible for consistently setting a positive example and helping newer students learn and uphold proper dojo etiquette.
