You may leave class only with the instructor's approval. If you need to leave early, request permission before class begins.
Maintain a Proper Uniform
Always wear a clean, well-maintained white karate gi, ensuring it is in good condition for training.
Maintain Personal Safety
Keep fingernails and toenails trimmed, and avoid wearing watches or jewelry during training.
Demonstrate Positive Attitude
Always show enthusiasm, respect, and good sportsmanship towards others.
Posture Matters
Avoid crossing your arms or placing hands on your hips, as these gestures are considered disrespectful and closed-off.
Address with Respect
In class, always address your dojo instructor as Sensei (a Japanese term for teacher) and black belt students as Senpai (refers to an upperclassman or mentor figure)
Lead by Example
Senior students are responsible for consistently setting a positive example and helping newer students learn and uphold proper dojo etiquette.
